Please see our Terms & Conditions for our services, when booking in lessons or events make sure you have read and understood our T&Cs. By booking a service you are agreeing to our policies below.

Cancellation Policy
When you sign up, you’re booking a 6-session block.

If you need to cancel:

  • 7+ days before the block starts – full refund.

  • 3–6 days before first session – 50% refund.

  • Less than 3 days before first session – no refund.

If you miss a session, we’ll send you session updates so you can stay in the loop, but missed sessions are non-refundable.

Your booking is for the 6-session block unless we’ve agreed on different dates and price beforehand (for example, if you’re joining part-way through).

Singing Coaching with Jessica

Jessica does not accept responsibility for changes to participants’ personal circumstances which lead to participants non-attendance.

Cancelling or rescheduling requires at least 48 hours notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged at 50%. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.

Please be advised it is the participants responsibility to remember to attend. Should participants forget their time/date, costs are non-refundable.

Payment is due in advance of the session to confirm.

Agreement for Home visit & Online Lessons for Children/Teens with Team of Trusted Teachers

This agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Jessica Friend, Founder & Coach at Jessica Friend Coaching (Agency) and Student/Parent (Student).

1. Teaching Period: Jessica Friend agrees to provide where possible teaching for the Student with one of the company’s trusted coaches, upon a successful trial lesson. The student acknowledges that there may be a waiting list and a request to change lesson day/time may result in a pause to lessons until a mutually available time is confirmed.


2. The Teacher Commitment:
a. The Teacher will deliver excellent quality, engaging and effective lessons tailored to the student's skill level, goals, and interests, using guidance and material supported by the Agency.
b. The Teacher will use positive language and teaching methods when engaging with the student and foster a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and comfortable expressing themselves musically and creatively.
c. The Teacher agrees to arrive promptly for each scheduled lesson and adhere to the agreed-upon lesson duration. If the Teacher is running late or arrives late for the lesson, the Teacher must inform the Agency so this can be documented and the Student can be informed.
d. The Teacher will ensure that the Student/Parent know what is required in terms of practice and preparation for lessons, performances and exams.
e. The Teacher takes part in regular training and observation sessions to continuous develop their craft and ensure the quality of lessons is in line with Jessica Friend Coaching standards.
f. The Teacher keeps the Agency updated with any student developments and teaches the student in line with Jessica Friend Coaching guidelines.


3. Jessica Friend Coaching Commitment:
a. Jessica Friend is responsible for booking in lessons with the Student/Parent, adhering to the available days, locations and subjects agreed upon, providing a Teacher is available.
b. Jessica Friend will remain available to support the Teacher and Student/Parent, specifically with maintaining the quality and reliability of lessons, regularly updating lesson plans, materials and ensuring both Teacher and Student have all the resources they need.
c. Jessica Friend agrees to maintain open and regular communication with the Student/Parent regarding lessons, progress, and any concerns.
d. Jessica Friend will carry out regular observations of the Teachers Lessons to ensure excellent quality, engaging and effective lessons.
e. Jessica Friend is responsible for handling payments and invoices.
f. Jessica Friend is responsible for booking and arranging exams and remains available to support and accompany Students at the exams.

g. Jessica Friend agrees to provide performance opportunities for students, including company concerts and sharing external events with parents. 


4. Terms & Conditions/Cancellation Policy:

 

Cancelling or rescheduling requires at least 48 hours notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged at 50%. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.

Jessica Friend does not accept responsibility for changes to Students personal circumstances which lead to a Students non-attendance or lesson cancellation.
Please be advised it is the Student/Parents responsibility to remember to attend, this includes being available to greet the teacher at the agreed upon time. Should Students forget their time/date or not be available, costs are non-refundable. Payment is due in advance of a lesson upon receiving an invoice or payment link.

The student acknowledges that this cancellation policy is put in place to support and provide respectable and reliable working environments for teachers and follows guidance from the Musicians Union. 


The Student/Parent acknowledges that all lessons are arranged and scheduled with Jessica Friend. If the Teacher or Student leaves the contract with the Agency, both Teacher and Student must wait 6 months before arranging lessons direct with each other.


In the event that any session or course is cancelled by a Teacher/Agency for any reason, you will be offered a refund or the option to re book at a different time/date if preferred.

By booking a lesson, you agree to the above cancellation policy.


5. The Student/Parent Commitment:
a. Preparedness for Lessons: The Student/Parent agrees to come to each lesson fully prepared, bringing all necessary materials such as books, instruments, or other required resources.
b. Punctuality: The Student is expected to arrive on time for each scheduled lesson. This includes being ready for the teacher at your home. If lessons are conducted online, the Student must ensure they are logged in and ready to begin at the agreed-upon start time.
c. Practice and Homework: The Student commits to completing any assigned practice or homework between lessons to ensure steady progress. Parents are encouraged to support and motivate younger students in maintaining a regular practice schedule.
d. Payment: Payments must be made in advance of lessons as per the agreed terms. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of lessons until payment is received.
e. Adherence to the Cancellation Policy: Students and Parents agree to follow the cancellation policy outlined in Section 4. This includes providing appropriate notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid charges.
f. Contacting the Agency: For any inquiries, scheduling changes, or support, the Student/Parent agrees to
contact the Agency directly. The Student/Parent must not contact Teachers on their private numbers
respecting the teachers privacy and time, unless in the case of an emergency.
g. Respect and Communication: The Student/Parent agrees to communicate respectfully with Teachers and
the Agency and to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.

6. Costs 

We offer flexible payment and lessons can be paid for each week or through discounted packs of 5/10. 

Discounts can be made for packs and also for families from lower economic backgrounds. 

Please note that exam fees, exam accompaniment, exam administration, sheet music, lesson materials, concert tickets and any other services beyond the agreed upon lessons come at an additional cost.

7. Scheduling

Lessons are scheduled for the academic year and the student acknowledges that there may be a waiting list and a request to change lesson day/time may result in a pause to lessons until a mutually available time is confirmed.

To request a change in lesson day or time, the student/parent must put this in writing via Jessica at +44 7508 918950 or info@jessicafriend.co.uk and your request will be looked at as quick as possible.
